Jim Schindler |
Bandidos First Restaurant, 1980 |
Over twenty-five years ago Jim Schindler opened the first Bandido's Restaurant on Winchester Road in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Armino Cortez, a Mexican chef, originally created all of our authentic Mexican recipes that we still prepare fresh daily in our kitchens.
Soon after, our second Bandido's opened in the Northcrest Shopping Center followed by one in the Georgetown Square shopping center, both in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Bandido's continued to grow with our fourth store opening in Lima, Ohio, number five in Portland, Indiana and our sixth location off of I-69 on Dupont Road in Fort Wayne.
Southwest customers in Fort Wayne can now visit our newest location in the Inverness Office complex on Hwy 14 / Illinois Rd.
Bandido's serves about 3,000 customers daily and has won several awards including, "Best Mexican Restaurant" in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Lima, Ohio. Moreover, Bandido's has been designated, by the Best Restaurant of America's publication "Where The Locals Eat," as having the "Best Mexican Food!"
